Description

Set of technical guidelines developed by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to help countries quantify and report their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals in a consistent, transparent, and comparable manner. These guidelines replaced and consolidated previous versions (1996 and Good Practice Guidance 2000/2003) and have become the international standard for the preparation of national inventories under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and subsequently under the Paris Agreement.
