National Water Resources Policy

Peruvian State will prioritize safe and timely access to water for human consumption and food security, promoting an integrated and multisectoral management approach that ensures its sustainable and equitable use, in harmony with ecosystems and in response to climate change. It will also protect the hydrological cycle and water quality, managing river basins as the basic unit and implementing measures to prevent, mitigate, and offset the negative impacts of human activities.
