The National Climate Finance Strategy seeks to mobilize resources efficiently, sustainably, scalably and transparently to finance mitigation and adaptation initiatives throughout their entire cycle, achieving national climate change goals with equity and justice. It is articulated through the Financial Management Committee of the National Climate Change System and establishes three main strategic lines. Its implementation focuses on closing the identified climate finance gap between current resources (0.16% of GDP) and required resources (1.2% of GDP). The strategy promotes public-private coordination and the transition towards carbon neutrality by 2050.
