Fecha de inicio: 12/03/2013
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

The School Glass of Milk Program Law establishes a national program that guarantees the minimum consumption of two glasses of nationally produced fluid milk per week for all children studying preschool and basic education in public educational centers. The State must annually allocate the necessary resources in the General Budget of the Nation for its implementation through the Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock is responsible for guaranteeing the production of quality fluid milk and establishing mechanisms to stimulate national production without generating shortages. The milk must be produced and processed in El Salvador by natural or legal persons of Salvadoran nationality. The law allows the subscription of necessary institutional agreements with public or private entities to ensure the program's execution.
