Description
This blog highlights the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service’s collaboration with Tanzanian university students to enhance agricultural monitoring by pairing satellite data with ground-truth information. Young mappers collect georeferenced data and crop photos, building an agricultural library for regional assessment. This pilot strengthens community agriculture, improves crop evaluations, and addresses climate-related challenges, fostering sustainable development and youth leadership in Africa.
