Description

Supreme Decree No. 4008 created the Cacao and Amazonian Fruits Programs to increase the productive potential of cacao, chestnut, açaí, cupuaçu, and majo, acting in the production, harvesting, and post-harvest phases in five producing departments: Pando, Beni, Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, and La Paz. A total budget of Bs. 243,371,158 (two hundred forty-three million three hundred seventy-one thousand one hundred fifty-eight 00/100 bolivianos) from the National Treasury is allocated for the implementation of the programs. The programs are an initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands (MDRyT) and are executed by its entities INIAF (Technology and Innovation); SENASAG (Plant Health); EMPODERAR (Production and Post-Harvest); and IPDSA (Technical Assistance and Market), during the 2020-2025 period.
