Decree No. 11: Minimum Wage Rates for the Republic of El Salvador

Decree No. 11 establishes new minimum wage rates for workers in agricultural, industrial, commercial, service, textile maquila and garment sectors, as well as for home-based workers in these areas. It represents a 12% increase applicable from June 1, 2025, establishing differentiated wages by economic sector. The decree guarantees inalienable rights for workers and prohibits the alteration of existing working conditions to the detriment of employees. It specifically defines the regulatory framework for mandatory compliance throughout the national territory. The rates contemplate monthly, daily and piece-work payment modalities according to the nature of the work.
