(Ecuador) Agricultural Public Policy 2025-2034 Proposal

The Ecuadorian State's public policy for the agricultural sector, spanning the period 2025-2034, has a 10-year horizon. Its implementation and oversight will be the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, the sector's governing body, which will ensure that new policy instruments are aligned with this roadmap, which was developed collectively and following the guidelines and directives established in current legal regulations. Ecuador's agricultural public policy aims to invigorate and strengthen the agricultural sector through market diversification, improved agricultural productivity, and the promotion of rural development. These initiatives especially seek to benefit small and medium-sized producers, fostering an environment where local production not only supplies the domestic market but also plays a prominent role internationally. In other words, it aims to create and diversify markets to boost the global marketing of local products based on fostering competitiveness.
