Description

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Netflix, and the Colombian Ministry of Culture launched the Sandbox Audiovisual project, a public-private initiative to train 1,500 vulnerable youth in audiovisual production, especially in regions such as Chocó, Caquetá, San Andrés, Sucre, Cauca, and Bogotá. The program seeks to reduce gender gaps and promote the inclusion of diverse communities such as women, Afro-descendants, Indigenous people, and LGBTQI+ individuals. Through technical training, soft skills, and internships on Netflix productions, the program aims to strengthen young talent and reactivate the country's cultural economy.
