Description

The objective of the National Forestry, Protected Areas, and Wildlife Program (PRONAFOR) 2010-2030 is to provide a comprehensive framework for the sustainable management of forest resources, protected areas, and wildlife in Honduras. The program focuses on biodiversity conservation, the restoration of degraded ecosystems, the sustainable use of natural resources, and the strengthening of institutional and community capacities for the effective management of these resources. It also seeks to foster the participation of local communities and promote socioeconomic development compatible with environmental conservation.
