Executive Summary - The State of the World's Children 2024 - The Future of Children in a Changing World

Fecha de inicio: 2024
Fecha de fin: 2024

Description

This report offers a vision toward 2050 to understand how current decisions will influence children's well-being in the future. It focuses on three megatrends—demographic changes, climate crises, and emerging technologies—and analyzes how these transformations will shape children's lives in different regions of the world. Through possible scenarios, it shows both the risks and opportunities that will define children's survival, development, and rights in the coming decades. Furthermore, the document calls for immediate action on three fronts: preparing for population changes with investments in education and health; addressing the climate emergency with sustainable and resilient policies; and ensuring safe access to technologies that protect digital rights. All of this with the commitment to building a more equitable and just world where every child can thrive, in line with the fundamental principles of child rights.
