National Program for the Development of Fisheries and Aquaculture

The National Program is an initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries (MDRyT) that seeks to increase fish production of different species by promoting and strengthening the productive base, providing equipment, technical assistance, handling, storage, and transportation. The program is implemented in the Altiplano, Amazonas, and Plata basins and is executed by three entities: IPD PACU (technical assistance and production component); INIAF (research and technology transfer component); and SENASAG (fish health component).
