Description
This law grants legal recognition to the Rondas Campesinas (Peasant Patrols) as autonomous and democratic forms of communal organization. It authorizes them to support the exercise of jurisdictional functions of peasant and native communities, assist in conflict resolution, carry out extrajudicial conciliation, and perform tasks related to security and communal peace within their territorial scope.
