Description

This Supreme Decree establishes a permanent Multisectoral Commission under the authority of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Its main purpose is to propose and oversee the implementation of coordinated measures aimed at promoting the decentralized, sustainable, and integral development of the Indigenous Peoples affiliated with ARPI SC and ORNASEC, within their territorial and jurisdictional bases located in the regions of Junín, Pasco, Huánuco, Cusco, and Ayacucho. The Commission is tasked with preparing a comprehensive report that provides a diagnostic analysis of the territorial development status of these Indigenous Peoples. This report will serve as a foundation for developing proposals that support sustainable and inclusive development aligned with local needs and priorities. Additionally, the Commission will propose mechanisms for the implementation of short-, medium-, and long-term strategic actions to strengthen territorial development in the areas covered. These actions are intended to ensure the active participation of Indigenous communities in decision-making and development processes, with cultural relevance and respect for their collective rights. Finally, the Commission will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing the execution of the proposed measures and for ensuring that the relevant public institutions at all levels of government fulfill their commitments to the demands and development goals of the Indigenous Peoples represented by ARPI SC and ORNASEC.
