Peru: Creation of the Multisectoral Commission "National Council for Agrarian and Rural Development" (Supreme Decree No. 0001-2022-MIDAGRI)

This Supreme Decree establishes the creation of the “National Council for Agrarian and Rural Development,” a permanent multisectoral commission under the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Its main role is to prepare technical reports containing coordinated proposals and actions to promote agrarian and rural development. These actions are aimed at improving the income of rural populations, particularly small-scale agricultural units, native communities, and peasant communities, through the integrated provision of economic, social, and environmental infrastructure, with a territorial approach and cultural relevance.
