Peru: Law No. 29676 – Law for the Promotion of the Development of Agricultural Producers' Markets

Fecha de inicio: 23/11/2020
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

Law No. 29676 aims to promote rural economic development through the organization, operation, and support of agricultural producers' markets. Its main objective is to facilitate direct trade between producers and final consumers, with a focus on encouraging participation from peasant communities, Indigenous communities, and individual producers, while excluding intermediaries or collectors who are not producers. Agricultural producers' markets involve transactions or exchanges of goods and services carried out directly by these actors, who must be properly registered and certified by the Regional Directorates of Agriculture or other competent authorities. It is important to note that the products sold must be of agrarian, livestock, agro-industrial, poultry, beekeeping, aquaculture, or artisanal origin.
