Peru: Law No. 28062 for the development and strengthening of agricultural organizations

Description

The purpose of this law is to encourage the formation of Agrarian Organizations with legal status under private law by farmers and ranchers, in order to create funds through voluntary contributions for organizational strengthening, improvement of their productive activities and access to training, production, transformation, industrialization and agrarian marketing services. Agricultural producers are recognized as those who work the land and those who transform or commercialize their agricultural products to generate greater added value, either individually or in an organized manner. It is also established that the National, regional and local governments recognize and support all agrarian organizations formed voluntarily by the country's producers.
