Peru: Law No. 30893 amending Law No. 29064, Law for the relaunching of Banco Agropecuario (AGROBANCO).

The Law amends the framework for the relaunching of AGROBANCO to strengthen its institutional framework, improve its corporate governance and focus its actions on financing small farmers. It also creates the Fondo de Inclusión Financiera para el Pequeño Productor Agropecuario (FIFPPA), administered by MINAGRI, which grants incentives to producers who are up to date with their payments. This fund covers the difference between the preferential interest rate and the rate that ensures AGROBANCO's financial sustainability, thus promoting financial inclusion and good credit behavior.
