Peru: Permanent Multisectoral Commission for the Safeguarding and Revaluation of the Traditional and Ancestral Knowledge, Knowledges and Practices of Indigenous or Original Peoples (Supreme Decree No. 006-2016-MC).

This Supreme Decree establishes the creation of a permanent Multisectorial Commission in charge of safeguarding and revaluing the traditional and ancestral knowledge, know-how and practices of the indigenous or original peoples. Its main function is to prepare technical reports with normative proposals aimed at their protection, promotion and enhancement, as well as to supervise compliance with such provisions once approved.
