Peru: Regulation of Law No. 30987, Law that Strengthens the Planning of Agricultural Production (Supreme Decree No. 009-2020-MINAGR)

This Supreme Decree N° 009-2020-MINAGRI approves the Regulations that govern the application of the Law for the Strengthening of Agricultural Production Planning, establishing provisions on agricultural statistical activity within the framework of the Integrated Agricultural Statistics System (SIEA). The regulation defines the responsibilities of the data provider entities, such as MIDAGRI, its attached agencies, Agrobanco, RENIEC, CONIDA and producer organizations, as well as the entities producing and disseminating statistical information, including MIDAGRI, SERFOR, regional and local governments, and the Secretariat of Digital Government of the PCM. Its purpose is to guarantee the timely transfer and quality of agricultural statistical information, ensuring its availability and accessibility for all stakeholders in the sector. In addition, MIDAGRI leads the updating of the national rural cadastre, in coordination with regional and local governments, every five years for the graphic base and every two years for the alphanumeric information, by means of cadastral cards with affidavit value. Likewise, the updating of the cadastre of water use for irrigation is the responsibility of the National Water Authority (ANA), which will define the corresponding guidelines for this process.
