Peru: Manual of Use of the National Seal of Organic Production (Directorial Resolution N.° 0001-2023-MIDAGRI-SENASA-DIAIA)

Directorial Resolution No. 0001-2023-MIDAGRI-SENASA-DIAIA approves the National Organic Production Seal Manual, which establishes the instructions for the use of the isologue, text and symbol of the National Seal, including its dimensions, sizes, typographies, colors, versions and its application on labels according to the type of packaging material. It also regulates its use in accordance with current legislation. The use of the National Seal of Organic Production, as well as its design and characteristics, contributes to strengthen the competitiveness of the organic sector in Peru, since it allows the clear identification of certified organic products. This seal guarantees the organic status of the product, which in turn has a positive impact on the processes of inspection, control, traceability and promotion in both domestic and international markets. The Peruvian State, through Law No. 29196 - Law for the Promotion of Organic or Ecological Production, has established as public policy the promotion of sustainable and competitive development of organic production in the country, promoting principles aimed at strengthening it through regulations, control and visual identity.
