Description

The main objective of the National Plan for Productive Diversification (PNDP) is to promote new engines of economic growth that promote the diversification and sophistication of the national productive structure, reduce dependence on commodity prices, improve productivity, generate more formal and quality employment, and ensure sustainable economic growth in the long term. In more specific terms, the PNDP seeks to: Achieve high rates of economic growth that can be sustained over time; Promote a productive transformation that will allow the country to move towards a medium-high income economy, reducing its dependence on natural resources; Close productivity gaps between the different regions of the country; Increase formal and quality employment, reducing the levels of labor informality.
