Peru: Educational Attention Policy for the Population in Rural Areas

This policy, approved by Supreme Decree No. 013-2018-MINEDU, aims to ensure that the education offered in rural areas is relevant and responds to the characteristics, needs and socio-cultural realities of girls, boys, adolescents, young people, adults and older adults. Among its priority objectives are: to guarantee access to quality educational services for the rural population; to strengthen pedagogical practices and specialized teacher training; to ensure continuity and timely completion of the educational trajectory in these areas; and to improve the welfare conditions of students and teachers in rural contexts.
