Description

Resolution No. 06/2004 establishes the Regulation of the Environmental Permits and Licenses System, creates procedures for the environmental assessment of existing facilities and new projects, and defines categories according to the magnitude of their environmental impacts. This regulatory framework, implemented by the State Secretariat for Environment and Natural Resources, regulates the process of obtaining environmental permits for projects, works, and activities that may generate impacts on the environment. The resolution also establishes procedures for environmental impact assessment, classifying projects according to their potential level of impact.
