Description

The Compendium of Regulations and Procedures for Environmental Authorizations is a technical-normative instrument developed by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources that systematizes the regulations, procedures, and requirements for obtaining environmental permits and licenses in the Dominican Republic. This document integrates the regulatory framework for environmental impact assessment and the authorization of projects, works, and activities according to their potential impact on the environment. The compendium establishes project categories, evaluation procedures, monitoring and control mechanisms, and responsibilities of the stakeholders involved. It constitutes a fundamental tool to ensure that economic development is compatible with environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources.
