Description
The GEF 7 Project "Integrated Landscape Management in the Watersheds of the Dominican Republic" is a joint initiative of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the World Bank, and the Dominican Government through the Ministry of Environment. This project implements an integrated watershed management approach to conserve biodiversity, restore degraded landscapes, and promote sustainable livelihoods in priority areas. The initiative strengthens environmental governance, promotes sustainable production systems, and develops financing mechanisms for conservation. It constitutes an innovative model of territorial management that integrates environmental, social, and economic aspects for sustainable development and resilience to climate change.
