Description
The Environment and Natural Resources Sector Program 2020-2024 (PROMARNAT) is the guiding instrument of Mexican environmental policy that establishes objectives, strategies, and actions for the sustainable management of the country's natural heritage. This program articulates environmental policy with national development, promoting ecosystem conservation, sustainable use of natural resources, and climate change mitigation. PROMARNAT integrates aspects of environmental justice, citizen participation, and institutional strengthening to address Mexico's environmental challenges. It constitutes the roadmap to transition towards a development model that guarantees the sustainability of natural resources and social well-being.
