The National Forestry Program 2020-2024 is the strategic planning instrument of the National Forestry Commission (CONAFOR) of Mexico that establishes the objectives, strategies, and action lines for the country's sustainable forest development. This program articulates policies oriented toward the conservation, restoration, sustainable management of forest ecosystems, and community development linked to forests. It promotes the integration of forest production chains, strengthening of local capacities, and implementation of mechanisms for reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation. It constitutes the programmatic basis for the sustainable management of Mexican forest heritage and its contribution to social welfare and climate change mitigation.
