Description

The National Soil Program (PRONASOLOS) is a strategic initiative of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) oriented toward the sustainable management of soils in Brazil. This program integrates research actions, technological development, knowledge transfer, and capacity building to improve the health and productivity of the country's soils. PRONASOLOS establishes guidelines for soil characterization, mapping, monitoring, and sustainable management, promoting conservation practices that contribute to food security and environmental sustainability. It constitutes a fundamental instrument for the implementation of public policies related to soil conservation and sustainable agricultural production in Brazil.
