Description
The National Terrestrial Ecosystems Conservation Program 2021-2030 is a planning instrument designed to implement the National REDD+ Strategy in Honduras. This program articulates interinstitutional actions for the conservation, restoration, and sustainable management of terrestrial ecosystems with emphasis on reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation. Developed collaboratively between MiAmbiente+, OPEV, and IUCN, it integrates aspects of forest governance, sustainable community development, and climate change adaptation. The program establishes goals, strategies, and implementation mechanisms for biodiversity conservation, protection of ecosystem services, and promotion of an inclusive green economy in Honduras.
