Description

The Forest Policy for Protected Areas and Wildlife of Honduras establishes strategic guidelines for the sustainable management of forest resources, protected areas, and biodiversity in the country. This policy instrument was developed through a participatory process involving multiple institutional stakeholders, including government entities, forestry associations, municipalities, and international organizations. The policy promotes ecosystem conservation, sustainable forest management, community participation, and economic development linked to the forestry sector. It represents a guiding framework to harmonize the use of forest resources with the protection of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
