The National Forest Restoration Plan 2019-2030 is a public policy instrument that establishes the technical, legal, and financial guidelines for the implementation of mechanisms to recover degraded ecosystems in Ecuador. This document, prepared by the National Reforestation Program of the Ministry of Environment, proposes passive and active restoration modalities to recover the structure, composition, and functionality of ecosystems. It includes a model for prioritizing areas, sustainability strategies, and a monitoring, reporting, and verification system to contribute to the quality of life of present and future generations.
