Description

The National Forest Pests and Diseases Protection Plan 2024 is the management, planning and implementation tool for all activities aimed at the prevention, control and timely management of forest pests and diseases in Honduras, through a multisectoral approach among the different actors of the National Forest Protection Committee (CONAPROFOR). The plan implements the National Forest Health and Sanitation Strategy through six strategic axes: Governance-Institutional Strengthening, Training-Capacity Building, Information Systems-Early Warning, Research, Preventive Silviculture and Visibility, focusing mainly on the management of the pine bark beetle and other causal agents of damage to the country's forest ecosystems.
