Description

The National Plan for Forestry and Wildlife Research of Peru is a strategic instrument developed by SERFOR in 2020 to establish scientific research priorities in the forestry and wildlife sector. It proposes guidelines to generate knowledge that supports the sustainable management and conservation of the country's forest and wildlife resources. It promotes coordination between academic entities, the public sector, local communities, and companies to develop applied research and technology transfer. It encourages the strengthening of capacities in scientific research, innovation, and technological development to improve the sustainable management of natural heritage. It integrates economic, social, and environmental dimensions into the research agenda to contribute to the sustainable development of the sector.
