Titicaca National Reserve Master Plan 2021-2025 - Presidential Resolution No. 038-2021-SERNANP

Master Plan for the Titicaca National Reserve for the 2021-2025 period, approved through Presidential Resolution No. 038-2021-SERNANP, issued on February 8, 2021, and published on February 12, 2021. It constitutes the highest-level planning instrument for this protected natural area in the Puno Department of Peru. The plan guides management toward biodiversity conservation, aquatic ecosystem protection and the maintenance of ecosystem services associated with Lake Titicaca through protected area planning, stakeholder participation and monitoring of conservation objectives. The resolution maintains the internal zoning established under the previous Master Plan and modifies the boundaries of the buffer zone according to the descriptive report included in its annex. It assigns responsibility for implementation to the Titicaca National Reserve management office. The planning period covers 2021-2025. In April 2026, SERNANP approved the terms of reference for updating the plan, which does not in itself constitute approval of a replacement Master Plan.
