Fecha de inicio: 2021
Fecha de fin: 2025

Description

The Master Plan for the Titicaca National Reserve 2021-2025 is a management instrument developed by the Ministry of Environment and the National Service of Natural Protected Areas (SERNANP) of Peru. This document establishes the strategic and programmatic guidelines for the conservation and sustainable management of Lake Titicaca's ecosystems and biodiversity over a five-year period. The plan articulates biological conservation objectives with the sustainable development of local communities that depend on the natural resources of the protected area. It integrates participatory management approaches, recognizing the cultural values and traditional knowledge of the populations surrounding the lake, while establishing mechanisms to address threats such as pollution, overexploitation of resources, and the effects of climate change.
