Comprehensive Plan for the Amazon 2021-2035

The Comprehensive Plan for the Amazon is a planning instrument developed by the Technical Secretariat of the Special Amazonian Territorial Circumscription to guide the sustainable development of the Ecuadorian Amazon region. This plan responds to the constitutional mandate that establishes the Amazon as a special territorial circumscription requiring comprehensive planning that includes social, economic, environmental, and cultural aspects. The document articulates territorial planning strategies that guarantee the conservation and protection of Amazonian ecosystems under the principle of sumak kawsay.
