Description
The Strategic Institutional Plan 2021-2024 establishes the priorities, objectives, and goals of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic to ensure the conservation of ecological balance and environmental protection. This plan is articulated in five strategic axes covering institutional strengthening, development of environmental management instruments, preservation of natural heritage in protected areas, sustainable use of natural resources with an ecosystem and watershed approach, and environmental quality management. It is aligned with the Dominican Constitution, the National Development Strategy 2030, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and multilateral environmental agreements.
