Description
The ten-year action plan establishes coordinated guidelines among institutions related to the prevention, management and control of exotic species in continental Ecuador to minimize their impact on biodiversity, health and economy. It proposes six lines of action: strengthening the regulatory framework, interinstitutional coordination, financing mechanisms, research and information management, education and communication, and comprehensive management of exotic species. The plan implements a preventive approach, early warning systems and immediate response, as well as mitigation, containment, control and/or eradication strategies for priority species.
