Description

The Technical Standards for Formulation of Forest Management Plans constitute a set of technical and legal rules applicable during the management and use of natural forests and private forest plantations. Their main purpose is to fully maintain the forest and the functional balance of its biotic and abiotic components, promoting sustainable production of goods and services. These standards complement the effective application of the Forestry Law on the management and sustainable use of forest ecosystems, framed within the principles of Persistence, Maximum Yield, Maximum Benefit and Multiple Use.
