Description

Decree No. 638 establishes standards for the improvement of air quality and the prevention and control of atmospheric pollution in Venezuela. It defines specific provisions to regulate contaminant emissions produced by fixed and mobile sources, including relevant technical concepts for its application. It contemplates procedures for the characterization of emissions and evaluation of air quality, differentiating between existing and new activities. It constitutes a regulatory framework oriented to minimize the environmental impact of gaseous emissions and polluting particles.
