The National Biodiversity Strategy of Suriname from 2006 is a framework document developed for the Ministry of Labour, Technological Development and Environment, the National Institute for Environment and Development, and the National Biodiversity Steering Committee. Elaborated through an agreement between UNDP/Suriname and the World Wildlife Fund as part of the capacity building support project for the Suriname Conservation Foundation, this strategy establishes guidelines for the conservation and sustainable use of the country's biological diversity.
