Agreement No. 026-2024 of the National Institute of Forest Conservation and Development, Protected Areas and Wildlife (ICF) on Guarantees of Compliance with Technical and Regulatory Standards for Forest Harvesting

This agreement establishes the obligation to present a depository guarantee for owners or beneficiaries of commercial forest harvesting authorizations in coniferous and broadleaf forests in Honduras. It determines that the guarantee value will be 20% of specific values according to the diameter classes of trees, with a validity of three years for coniferous forests with reserve seed trees and one year for other silvicultural treatments. It establishes procedures for the release or execution of guarantees, and allocates funds resulting from executions to the corresponding Regional Forest Offices for the repair of forest damages.
