Description

The Guidelines and Standards Manual for Improved Forest Management is a technical instrument developed by the National Institute of Forest Conservation and Development, Protected Areas and Wildlife (ICF) of Honduras that establishes specific guidelines for the sustainable management of forest ecosystems. This document provides technical standards and standardized guidelines for forest professionals, forest owners, and forest industries, with the objective of ensuring the protection, conservation, and appropriate management of forest resources. Developed with the support of USAID/Honduras and the United States Forest Service, the manual represents a collaborative effort for the effective implementation of the principles established in the Honduran Forestry Law.
