The Red List of Threatened Species of Honduras is an official technical instrument that identifies and catalogs fauna and flora species at risk of extinction in Honduran territory. Developed through a rigorous scientific evaluation process led by multiple national and international institutions, following the methodology of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). This technical document records 1,751 species evaluated with a significant increase from 59 to 465 endangered species over a 13-year period, serving as a basis for the creation of conservation programs and laws in Honduras.
