Description

The Guidelines for Climate Change Plans of Autonomous Governments establish directives for the development and implementation of climate change plans, programs and strategies at the subnational level in Ecuador. They provide a technical framework that allows Decentralized Autonomous Governments (GAD) to incorporate climate change considerations into their territorial planning instruments, linking them with the National Climate Change Strategy. They include requirements for identifying climate threats, vulnerability analysis, defining adaptation and mitigation measures, as well as monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
