Description

Law No. 14.757 establishes modifications to laws no. 11.952 (2009), no. 8.629 (1993) and no. 13.465 (2017) to regulate the termination of resolutory clauses contained in land titles, and other provisions. especially for contracts issued before June 25, 2009. It allows original beneficiaries, heirs or third-party purchasers in good faith who occupy and exploit properties with pending payment contracts, to fully pay off the outstanding balance and receive contract cancellation, extinguishing the resolutive clauses. It establishes specific conditions such as the limit of 15 fiscal modules of total area, registration in the Rural Environmental Registry and prohibits benefits in cases of exploitation of labor in conditions analogous to slavery. Additionally, it modifies provisions on agrarian reform and regularization of possessions in settlement projects.
