Description

The CAReBios Project is a binational initiative focused on increasing ecosystem-based adaptation capacity in the border Biosphere Reserves between the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic in collaboration with the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ), the project focuses on protection, sustainable use, research and environmental education around the La Selle and Jaragua-Bahoruco-Enriquillo Transboundary Biosphere Reserve. By strengthening governance structures and restoring ecosystems, it promotes biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in this border region.
