Description

The Strategic Plan 2019-2029 of the Guyana Wildlife Conservation and Management Commission establishes a roadmap for the management, conservation and sustainable use of Guyana's wild flora and fauna. Developed following the enactment of the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act of 2016, the plan focuses on four strategic areas: improving operations and finance, legislation and compliance, awareness and education, and research and management interventions. This framework aims to secure the future of wildlife through sound scientific principles, responsible regulation and education for the benefit of all Guyanese now and in the future.
