Guidelines for the Development of Management Plans in the Protected Areas of SINAPH

This guide establishes the official technical guidelines for the preparation of management plans for protected areas in Honduras, designed by the National Institute for Forest Conservation and Development, Protected Areas and Wildlife (ICF). The guide provides a structured process for the development of management plans, from team formation and planning to the implementation of strategic, financial, and monitoring components. It integrates both technical and participatory components, considering the ecosystem approach and conservation of biodiversity values. It constitutes a fundamental instrument to ensure adequate protection and sustainable management of ecosystems, biodiversity, and environmental services of protected areas in Honduras.
