The development of this taxonomy has been possible thanks to the valuable technical support of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), an international organization dedicated to sustainable development and green financing. Its contribution has been fundamental in structuring eligibility criteria and classification systems that ensure the alignment of financial resources with principles of environmental, social, and economic sustainability. This collaboration not only strengthens CONAFIPS's capacity to access international green financing but also positions Ecuador as a benchmark in sustainable finance in the region. More than a conceptual framework, this taxonomy is presented as a strategic tool that supports Ecuador's sustainability commitments, aligning it with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement. Through this joint effort, CONAFIPS and GGGI consolidate a solid foundation for transforming the country's financial sector, ensuring that investments contribute to a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future. The creation of this taxonomy marks the beginning of a key document to guide Ecuador in its transition to a green economy, integrating environmental sustainability, social justice, and economic development as fundamental pillars of its progress.
